repeat performances

Most beginnings are repeat performances, old routines infused with a sleight of hand, magically appearing to be different. But they are all the same tired tricks disguising as new ones. You think you are starting a new job, a better life, a different chapter, but then you pause midway and realize it’s a cycle. Nothing is new. Beginnings are merely the end disguised.
